Andrea is interested in how muscle physiology, thermal physiology, and biomechanics contribute to the locomotor performance of moving animals, and what mechanisms enable or constrain physiological adaptation to temperature in skeletal muscle in the face of short- and long-term changes in environmental temperature.
Kristin is broadly interested in the evolution of animals in urban environments. She uses integrative approaches involving ecology, functional morphology, and genomics to investigate the many ways organisms, primarily Anolis lizards, are adapting to these novel habitats.
Nicolas is interested in using cutting edge genomic techniques to understand the genetic architecture of complex traits and how they evolve in novel environments. His research interests are broad and he has studied many organisms, from microbes to wolves.
